The Friends of the Oskaloosa Public Library is a
non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
The Purpose:
To further the goals and objectives of the Oskaloosa Public Library, encourage gifts and memorials to the Library, provide direct financial support and items which cannot be purchased from the Library's operating budget, promote community awareness of the Library, and sponsor programs designed to improve the cultural and intellectual life of the community.

Friends Memberships:
You can become a Friend of the Library by purchasing a yearly membership. Individual memberships are $10, and Family memberships are $25. Click Here for Friends Membership Form.
Business Memberships:
Please contact the Library for a Business Membership form. For Business Memberships the annual fee is $100. Current Business Members include: American Family-Kristi Tarr, Bank Iowa, Book Vault, Klyn Tire Service, Mahaska Communication Group, MidWestOne Bank, Ratcliff & Blake Insurance, TruBank, and True Value Hardware.
How is the Money Spent?
The money from the memberships goes to support programs at the Library such as Summer & Winter Reading, Adventure Pass, and Books for Babies. The money also helps to support special Library needs or projects.
What are the benefits of a Friends Membership?
Individuals and Families who have a Friends Membership get extended check out periods! Books, magazines, audiobooks, and music CDs check out out for 4 weeks instead of 3 weeks AND DVD/Blu-rays check out for 15 days instead of 8 days.
When Do They Meet?
Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday at 4:00 pm at the Library in a third floor Meeting Room.
