Summer Reading is here, and we've got an exciting two months full of programs, events & PRIZES for all ages!

Fizz Boom Read!
Children will have a blast this summer with experiments, storytimes, science presentations, a magic show, bubbles and, of course, books!

Find Your Fandom
Teens in 6th through 12th grade can discover their fandom and get the chance to win awesome prizes. Messy Games, Dungeons & Dragons, Chess Club - there'll be lots to do too!

Jazz Up Your Summer!
We're inviting adults to jazz up their summer with Musical Mondays, presentations on haunted locations and historic sites, craft programs and more!


Doug Wilson Presents: What About Muchakinock?

Doug Wilson is a coal-mining historian from Knoxville. Doug will present, by power point and written history, the story of the coal mining town of Muchakinock in Mahaska County. Muchakinock was the predecessor to the popular Buxton mining story, but has a fascinating tale of its own!

August Computer Classes

Need some techie tutoring? Computer Classes will be back in August!

Classes are free and open to the public and take place on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in the computer lab on the first floor. These classes are limited to 8 participants, and registration is required.
