Meeting Room A/B, Third Floor
Author Linda Betsinger McCann will take a look at the 13 year span of Prohibition through the lens of Eastern Iowa townspeople and others as written in her book Prohibition in Eastern Iowa.
From farmers who grew corn used in making illegal liquor, to the bootleggers who trafficked it and the gangsters who sold it, Eastern Iowa saw its fair share!
Stay after for a Free Beer Tasting!
After the presentation, sample a selection of local craft beers courtesy of The Cellar Peanut Pub. (All samples will be under 1 ounce and served to participants 21 years or older only.)
This event is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Oskaloosa Public Library.
