Additional paper logs will be available at the Library. All reading logs will be placed in the Grand Prize Drawing Boxes for the age group the child is registered for at the Library. Reading logs can be entered until Thursday, July 20th at 8:00 p.m.
  • Only a Library staff member can place the reading logs into the grand prize boxes.
  • To Earn Grand Prize Entries:
Babies through 5th Grade will need to read, be read to, or listen to books. The necessary minutes of reading per reading log for each age level break down the following way:

Babies                        120 minutes (or 2 hours)
Read to Me                 240 minutes (or 4 hours)
                    K-2nd Grade               360 minutes (or 6 hours)
                    3rd - 5th Grade           480 minutes (or 8 hours)

Babies through 5th Grade can turn in as many Reading Logs (when they have fulfilled the time requirements for each reading log) as they complete during the Reading Program.
  • The Library encourages all children to read at their own reading level and their own pace. This is NOT a race. Each reading log is an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing for the appropriate age group of the child.
  • There are Grand Prizes for each age category. To be eligible for the grand prize drawing, a child must have turned in one completed reading log. Participants are responsible for handing in their own reading logs.  Logs left in books, on tables, any area of the Library, or in the book drop will not be entered.
  • The winners of the GRAND PRIZE drawings will be announced on a Live Facebook streaming event on Friday, July 21st prior to 10:00 a.m.
  • Prize drawing winners will be contacted by phone or email, and will have until July 31st to pick up their prize, or make arrangements to have their prize picked up.
  • Library employees and their immediate families are not eligible for grand prizes but are encouraged to participate in the programs or events.
