2023 Adult and Teen Summer Reading Rules

  • Each participant must register online OR in person at the Library.  Online registration is available starting June 1st and will be available through July 15th. Paper registrations and reading logs (online and paper) are available starting June 5th and will be available through July 15th.
  •  Patrons can choose Option 1 (read 4 books) OR Option 2 (read for 20 hours) to finish the log.
Patrons need to complete just ONE option to turn in their log.
  • Any books, eBooks, audiobooks, and graphic novels will count for reading.
  • When a patron has completed the requirements for ONE of the options on the reading log/extra credit form, it then can be submitted online or in person. If in person, it should be submitted to the 2nd floor Reference Desk. All reading logs/extra credit forms can be placed in the Summer Reading Prize Drawing of your choice. Reading logs/extra credit forms can be entered until Thursday, July 20th at 8:00 p.m.
  • Extra Credit: Once your reading log is complete you will be able to fill out up to 14 additional Extra Credit forms. All you have to do is read 4 more books or read for 20 more hours per Extra Credit form.  Each Extra Credit form will count as another entry into the GRAND PRIZE DRAWING of your choice! Up to 14 extra credit forms will be allowed per participant.
  • Only a Library staff member can place the reading logs/extra credit forms into the grand prize drawing boxes.
  • Grand Prize Drawing: The patron’s name will be entered into a drawing of their choice to have a chance at winning one of the following grand prizes:
Adult prizes: Fire Tablet or Book Bundle Package

  • The winners of the GRAND PRIZE drawings will be announced on a Live Facebook streaming event on Friday, July 21st prior to 10:00 a.m.
