Your Library Card
Most Iowa residents are entitled to a free library card. Proof of current address and a photo I.D. are required. Children attending 5th grade or below must appear with a parent or legal guardian in order to get a card. Replacement cards are $2.00. Please visit the circulation desk on the 1st floor to obtain a card.
- A library card must be presented in order to check out materials or use a computer. For the protection of cardholders, we will not check out materials to a person's account unless the card is presented.
- Books, CDs, audio books, magazines and non-fiction videos can all be checked out for two weeks. These items may be renewed twice in person, by phone or online. Music CDs are limited to 3 per person.
- DVD, Blu-ray, and VHS materials are due by closing on the third day after check out. There is a limit of 3 of each format per person. No renewals are allowed on these items.
- DVD games are due by closing on the seventh day after check out. There is a limit of one per person. No renewals are allowed.
- Items can be returned inside the library on the 1st floor or by using our convenient drive-through located on the west side of the building.
