Technology Plan

Goal Summary

1. To faciliate the public’s education on the use of electronic resources.
2. To implement equipment and software replacement and/or upgrades, which are responsive to changing technology and public service needs.
3. To develop the library’s web-based services in relation to library public services, and to strive to increase the usefulness of the library website.
4. To address the training and information needs of the public library staff.
5. To use technology in promoting library services to the public.

Promote open source software by making it available on both staff and public access computers.

Evaluation of Progress
Each January, the Technology Committee of the Board of Trustees will meet with the Library Director and Library Technician to determine how much progress has been made in implementing the goals and objectives of the plan.  The Technology Committee will prepare a progress report to present to the full Board of Trustees in March of each year.
